Resolutions versus Intentions – Which is better for your overall health?

Set intentions that create a positive shift in your mind set that are rooted in self-love and backed with action.

A resolution means finding a solution to a problem. You are not a problem!

Probably by now you have already broken some of your New Year resolutions so you have that awful feeling of failure. Not a good way to start the year.

Intentions indicate a willingness to do certain things.

What do You want to Achieve?

Adopt a Healthy eating plan

Be fitter and stronger

Less stress

Awareness of self and others

Overall healthier lifestyle…..

The Plan to Action your Intentions.

Be SMART

  • S – Specific.                                                                                    
  • M – Measurable
  • A – Achievable
  • R – Realistic
  • T – Time framed

Add an F for FUN, my own personal favourite.

Remember that along the way you can always tweak the plan as circumstances often change.

Plato said –

‘Mind and body exist in union and cannot be separated. One should avoid either exercising mind or body without the other and so preserve an equal and healthy balance between the two.’

I think that that is probably the best intention to set. View yourself in totality. You are after all not bits and pieces that operate independently of each other. You are a complete entity and should adopt an all-encompassing Lifestyle.
